Yet another fic community

Dear lovelies,

Firstly, thank you for bothering to come to this community.

After being very tired of switching back and forth accounts, I coerced Rissa into agreeing to set up a fic community instead, and because we found out that we couldn't use 'tabai' anymore, we racked our brains for about an hour and a half before finally settling on this one. (what's with so many lj names already being taken!?) In case you're wondering where on earth we found such creativity, we didn't, in fact, come up with the name ourselves. It is a quote from the ingenius L. M. Montgomery's Anne of the Island.

"It was for her one of the jeweled hours of life that gleam out radiantly forever in memory."

Only we changed it to British spelling because we're shallow people and think that 'jewelled' is prettier than jeweled. Yes, we're shallow.

tabai is now defunct. Fics that are currently there will remain there due to the fact that we're too lazy to move them over, but from now on, all updates will be posted at jewelledhours. We would adore you forever if you want to watch / become a member, but of course there's no need to :)

An important addition to this community is the incomparable binmusic! She brainstormed for community names with us and since we already love her very much, we pleaded her to join. So this fic comm will contain fics from: misticloud, where_wordsfail and binmusic.

I hope you will enjoy what we spam this community with!

I...actually wondered why did people bother making communities =x until I realised that you don't have to switch back and forth and also use only one email address. Yes, I fail.

Congrats and yay! New community. It wasn't until Gem's post that I realized the benefits of having a community instead of another journal. Now I'm rethinking my new fic journal. Bahhhh (I'll think about it for a bit longer).

Hello, I'm commenting because there's a series I want to read over on tabai that is friends locked so I can't read it. I was wondering if I could either be friended, or if you had posted your locked fics anywhere else? I read an unlocked one shot set in the same verse and I am so intrigued now! It's the LDD series that I'm specifically looking for, although I'd love to read the others as well!

Hi! I've actually locked the LDD so it's now private...partly because I don't really like how that story turned out and so don't want it to be public anymore. I'm sorry about that :( But there are other fic series on tabai and here that are still accessible :)

Aw, that's a shame. I've read some remixes and other fics that people have written for your LDD series and I just wanted to read it to gain more context. It totally seemed like the sort of thing in interested in. :(

I've actually read the other fics both on here and at tabai and think you're an amazing author.

I'm sorry :( actually, even if I wanted to unlock it now, I can't, because I can't remember the password to the account (fail!) and I don't seem to have the fic anymore on my hard drive. So it is truly gone for real :(
