a/n : for [livejournal.com profile] yuxo as usual. hope the fluff is enough to counteract the angst!

For the entirety of their Paris trip, Changmin takes to carrying around a camera. For a digital one it's rather large and bulky, a stainless steel black Canon that hangs by its thick strap at his side or around his neck. He's the first to admit that it's a dead weight, mostly useless amidst all the other cameras and video equipment that stalk their every sneeze and joke.

Management doesn't care, "Go ahead, do what you want," is what he's told. They like it, the device adds character, a certain je ne sais quoi that they thought he could use some of. He's teased about it at first and it weighs him down in the running shots, the others having to wait for him with a smile in their eyes and an insult at the tip of their tongues.

But during breaks, it's Jaejoong and Yoochun who fight over it, janken-poning and bribing him with pastries of sorts to scroll through the photos he's taken so far. Changmin doesn't mind the jesting, he knows that if anything they make fun because they understand where he's coming from best. And honestly he prefers a joke and a nudge to "Awws" and sappy hugs.

Changmin isn't sure why he does it, but he knows he likes the feeling of having a set of photos of themselves, of Paris and of their adventures that belong solely to them. They're idols and selling themselves, image and skinship, is part of the deal. He discovered that three years into the job as a Dong Bang and although he's come to accept it, he guesses that he's never given up the idea of a life beyond all of it. Yunho tells him that it's part of his charm and also a large reason why he had the courage to take that step with him.

And so Changmin takes pictures of them and of Paris.

He's got ones where Jaejoong's seated precariously at the bridge's edge, feet dangling beneath him, kicking in beat to the familiar tune he hums for his audience of foreigners in tour boats. There's pictures of the aftermath of Junsu's return, too many hands reaching and grabbing at the boy that it's difficult to tell whose hand belong to whom.

Then there are ones of Yoochun getting dared by Jaejoong to approach a random French girl and conversing with her entirely in the native language. It's especially during times when Yunho's standing just close enough for him to breathe in, smile miles wide and body twisting, dancing to an imaginary beat that he'll find himself wanting to capture.

He develops them that day, stopping by a random hole-in-the wall shop by their hotel, and picks them up on their way back from another scheduled sightseeing trip. He finds himself disappointed. The photos are lacking in all ways possible.

Changmin can't hear Jaejoong's accented trilling of Oh Shan Ze-Le-Za ~ ~ or see him twirling pink feather boas while catwalking down the brick streets of Paris. Junsu's loud and easy laughter, and his spur of the moment pirouettes surrounded by a sea of white faces are lost in the stillness.

He can no longer tell from the colored photos that Yoochun had asked, "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?", the only French words he knew (from an old English song he claimed he heard back in Virginia) and received in return an amused glare and a piece of paper with a phone number scrawled in elegant pink ink that sent them all laughing and double dog daring for him to call it. And no matter how hard he tried, he didn't manage to capture Yunho's random korean raps or silly shouts of "Choikang Changmin Hwaiting! U-know Yuhno Hwaiting! Homin Couple Hwaiting!"

Mid-way through their fifth ride aboard the bus through the same route, Changmin finds a warm hand brushing lightly against his thigh before coming up to entwine with his.

"Hyung," he greets softly, pulling the hand a little closer because he wants to and can.

"Changmin-ah."

He hears the unspoken concern in Yunho's voice, in the tone and in the proximity of the other man. He leans a little more to rest his right shoulder against his left one, pressing against the older man without any words or explanation.

Yunho smiles at him and turns so the very ends of his hair can brush against Changmin's neck and cheeks. It's the only kind of kissing can afford in such a public space but he finds that it doesn't matter as much right now.

"Smile," the older man mouths, drawing a pattern of stars and fluffy nothings onto Changmin's jean clad knee. Junsu sings a song loudly in the seat next to them and Yunho releases his grip with a light squeeze, the warning coming just in time before the video pans to them.

Changmin watches fondly as Yunho pops up and starts waving at the tourists in the bus next to them, and he can't help the burst of laughter at the sight of Yunho and Jaejoong getting smacked in the head with a series of low tree branches.

Manly Leadersshi collapses back into his seat with a firm pout and tilts his head at Changmin in a manner that has him wanting to just reach out and pull the other man flush against him for a heart-stopping kiss despite the hundreds of eyes on them. He mirrors him instead, tilting his head back in return with a quirky smile and waits for Yunho's right eye to twitch before breaking out into a full out grin.

Yunho turns to Jaejoong who immediately starts a jig in the middle of the bus and when the cameraman turns to film the ridiculously precious movements, he pulls Changmin neatly into his lap and leaves a series of kisses against his temple and eyebrows, dotting his way to the birthmark nestled under the younger man's chin.

"Penny for your thoughts?" He says, resting his ear against the other's heart, eyes closed as he inadvertently hums along to the rhythmic beating of Changmin's heart.

Changmin shuffles and tucks himself against Yunho, leaning his head atop the warm bed of hair and brings a hand up to twirl into the brown locks, leaving his other hand to hold onto Yunho's in his lap.

"I think my thoughts are worth more than a penny," he mumbles in reply, turning sideways to stare at Jaejoong from the corner of his eye in case his hyung runs out of material.

Yunho tightens his grip on the younger boy, arm squeezing his waist just tight enough for Changmin to focus his attention back on them. "I liked the photos you took. They're lovely."

"No, they're not. They're plain and normal, just like all the other ones we take."

Yuhno's eyes flicker open and he presses a kiss to every other beat of his lover's heart, "Have you see Jaejoongie's wallet today? He's got a group picture of all five of us in there, along with one of just us two and one of him too, but you get the point."

Yunho picks up the hand in his, playing an unknown tune on Changmin's knuckles as he continues, "Junsu's already scanned some of them onto his laptop to email to Junho."

He turns the hand over, drawing a ticklish heart onto Changmin's wrist, "And I'm sure I heard Yoochun crying over some of them in the bathroom this morning." He presses two short kisses to the same spot, "Just don't tell him I told you so."

Yunho pulls Changmin towards him until they're lips are touching and he smiles, lifting the younger man's mouth to fit against his in the same manner. "I've already bought four frames this morning and plan on buying many more so that our entire room and apartment will be full of pictures of you, of me and of us. Got a problem with that?"

Changmin closes his eyes and leans into the kiss, angling his head to deepen it until he feels himself melting just a little more into the older man. "Owe me a penny now," he says while pulling away.

Yunho mutters incoherently and digs into his pockets, "Sorry Min-ah, looks like the pants didn't come with money."

Changmin pushes him with his shoulder and then pulls him back a second later, "That's okay, you can buy me lunch."

"Don't I always?"

They stay that way for a few beats more, tangled around each other in a mess of limbs and warmth before Yunho's leader senses kick in."Stop thinking so much," he murmurs into Changmin's ear before pressing a kiss into the curve of his neck and releasing his hold on him to join Jaejoong in the aisles.

They reach Korean soil two days later and the first thing Changmin unpacks is a picture of the five of them suspended in jumps mid-air with the Eiffel tower in the background. He steals one of Yunho's newly purchased frames from his suitcase, a nice solid oak one and slides the photo in. Changmin's already got the perfect spot for it, dumping all the scraps of paper and spare change into a basket before placing the frame on top the shelf in their living room.

A pair of mostly wet but nonetheless welcoming arms wrap their way around his waist, "My favorite."

"Picture? Mine too."

"Person," Yunho corrects with a wide grin as he penguin walks them towards the bedroom, "Shall I show you why?"
