I mean
You have no idea how relieved I was to see that Donghae finally realized that oh... he and hyukjae was no longer bound to each other and so it wasn't exactly cheating was it? but it was heartbreaking too. his hurting makes us hurt so much
As the day wears away so does his anger, giving up pieces of itself to resignation, bit by bit until he finds himself sobbing in his bed at the end of that horrible day, remembering that they have already broken up, that they no longer bear any responsibility to each other
everytime you write a sentence like that, that kind of summed up a fact about their relationship - it felt more universal because so many other couples go through similar things. the way you titled each part shows that; each relationship has that infatuation phase. most relationships having a falling apart the parts where they were talking and donghae wondering about how they still couldn't stay together even though they obviously loved each other so much. how was that possible?? and that unanswered question felt like... it won't ever be answerable and that just feels like life and you just showed that perfectly ;_;
(we're all suckers for happy endings and especially since eunhae are so close right now I wonder how they'll be later on.)
donghae's heart being enclosed by a shell soon. a little sad but I think almost necessary? in terms of what he's been through. him dating someone else o.o (finally huh? I want to see how this goes)
