oh man, i'm really late this time! ^^; late enough to be behind two chapters! haha but i shall make up for it :D and when i read at the end that it's the end of koyama's part, i was kinda sad, but also kinda looking forward to the story from the perspective of the others (:
well, this chapter, as usual, blew me away. but what really caught my eye (and my heart) was the somehow natural and comfortable nature between the four of them. how the four of them can be so different, but still be able to be so natural around each other, and be so comfortable ♥ i liked that while the previous chapter were bits and pieces of their fragmented relationships with each other, which started off as rocky in the beginning, this chapter rounds things up at the end of koyama's arc. this chapter shows how far they have come since it started, and how they're slowly becoming more whole and comfortable with each other. buts somehow it seems to me like its the calm before the storm.
“But you came, didn’t you?” Yamapi said, drawing idle circles on the back of Koyama’s hand. “I couldn’t have dragged you in if you hadn’t wanted to come in the first place.”
“I didn’t want to,” Koyama protested, but Yamapi only laughed and kissed his shoulder lightly.
“You were lonely.”
i totally loved this bit ♥ you've shown so beautifully the relationship between koyama and yamapi, and how well they've come to understand each other. and is it me, or am i just the only one who loves the bit about yamapi kissing koyama's shoulder? xD I DONT KNOW, i have a thing for that. somehow that little action, to me, seems to show familiarity and comfort with each other, more than any other action can do ♥ weird, aren't i? xD
and the whole paragraph about koyama being lonely. it totally captured my heart. i think you've very aptly written about loneliness and you know, how when you're lonely, you feel even lonelier when you see friends and others around you happy with their significant other. and koyama and his video games meant for one? that broke my heart ): and i like how koyama's perspective changed, before when he thought that the quote was being selfish, but now after really experiencing it for himself, he understands how it feels, and how irrational you feel when you're feeling lonely, that you don't care how selfish you might be.
and koyama's such a loveable drunk ♥ he thought bangkok was a country xD oh, how we love koyama :D i really like how, in their interactions and conversations with each other, the four of them really spill out their inner thoughts to each other, which shows the level of comfort they have ♥ (or rather more within their own couples, but still)
and the bit about ryo and his past, we finally see his character coming into shape :D i guess his past does explains why he acts like that, why shige is so important to him and why he doesn't want to lose him. my guess is because shige is the only real thing that he wants in his life, and he makes ryo forget about his past, everything that haunts him when they're together. he probably makes ryo feel whole, and that's why he's so stubborn and doesn't want to give him up. and shige finally brings happiness into ryo's life, after a whole childhood spent unhappy. its no wonder ryo's a obsessive guy xD
the phone conversation between yamapi and koyama ♥ shige is so fail xD the universe must really hate him. he's the only guy who probably has most of his plans ruined cause someone up there loves torturing him xD and here again, i love the contrast you have between pi & koyama. their differences are obvious and they've been living in different worlds, but somehow they still managed to come together and love each other. love's a wonderful thing, isn't it ^^ (how mushy >.<) but i like how yamapi wants to relive his childhood through koyama, how by listening to koyama talk about his childhood, he can briefly imagine how his childhood could have been like if he didn't become an artiste.
not so long comment, but still long :D
