A joker had once said, “When you’re single, the last thing you want is your best friend forming a serious relationship with someone else.” I still can't believe I missed that this quote is from Bridget Jones x.x I'd just like to say, AMEN KOYAMA! AMEN!
“Ryo-chan always meant to get you back. He can’t live without you.” Shige was quiet, pondering that. “It’s scary,” he said softly, “when you have someone who can’t live without you.” I'm with Shige. This reminds me of that question, "Would you rather be loved or be the one doing the loving?" I think I always chose the one doing the loving. A lot of my friends would chose the former and I see why but at the same time, it's so suffocating. There's so much passion when someone focuses all of their attention on you, and declares that you're the love of his life. I can barely take care of myself, I do not want to be responsible for someone else's life either. It's impossible to devote all your time to a single person, there's school, friends and family and I mean you just want some personal time too. Time to relax, read a book or listen to some music, by yourself. And while I don't dislike Ryo, I dislike the way he's acting. It's understandable but I can't accept it. The closer Ryo tries to be to Shige, the farther and faster he's pushing away. At the same time, I can't blame Ryo. (Not the deluded fangirl bias speaking :p)
The whole exchange between Pi and Shige about not breaking Ryo's heart, you're totally foreshadowing here aren't you? x.x Shige, you idioit! Lol, you totally have the power to break Ryo's heart. He's that kind of person, the kind you think is strong but in reality isn't. He's a classic example, with a bad childhood and a profession like an idol, what else do you expect? Shige's the best thing to happen to Ryo in a while, how is he supposed to let go of that? And like Pi said, Ryo always meant to get him back.
Somehow I feel like Ryo and Shige's relationship isn't meant to be. I want it to be, I do, for Ryo's sake but it's just not going to happen. When you have a relationship like theirs, where one is so demanding and the other is so unrelenting, it's too much friction to work forever. I like how Koyama says that RyoShige always get back together in the end, but it's not true. Shige moves on doesn't he? And Ryo commits suicide. It's too much, their relationship is always too much of something. Too much love, too much passion, too many demands, always too much : [
“In a few days we’ll all be attending the yearend parties,” said Yamapi. “The bounenkai. Don’t you think it’s strange that it’s called ‘forget the year party’? There must be something wrong with our Japanese culture if we hold celebrations to forget the year that has just passed.” I didn't know it was called the "forget the year party", that's kind of sad. But I guess in a way it works. Instead of celebrating the passing of a yet another year, you forget it did, and work hard on doing your best in the coming year. It's a very Japanese way of thinking.
Underneath the table, their hands caught and held. More KoyaPi? :DD I can tell I'd love Pi even more with the coming chapters dear.
And now yay! You updated :DDD I'm rather tired and just not in a very good mood today so my comment is far below the standard level of epic boo. I apologize for this :[ I shall come back and reply once more when I'm perkier or less...just less.
